Legia Warsaw fans hung a massive banner addressed to Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski during their latest game against Lech Poznań.
This is not the first time that Legia Warsaw fans have presented a political banner targeting the candidate in this month’s presidential elections, writes wPolityce.
The “Legionnaires” also called out Rafał Trzaskowski’s order related to crosses in public places: “Rafał ordered to remove crosses, now he pretends to be Catholic. Do you know a more false politician?” they wrote on a banner at the match against Lechia Gdańsk.
And then there was the banner during the Polish Cup final match against Pogoń Szczecin. “Let’s not allow the hypocritical, rainbow Rafał to rule Poland with Sławek the drug addict,” it read.
During this most recent match against Lech Poznań, Legja fans warned of Trzaskowski’s destruction of Poland and Warsaw.
“Trzaskowski will destroy Poland just as he is destroying Warsaw!” the banner read. It also displayed the person who had “ordered” the banner: “This banner was commissioned by Sławek, who was destroyed by drugs.”
Rafał Trzaskowski was not at the match, reports Gol24, but at an election rally in Płock, the Civic Platform politician told those present: “This presidential election will be primarily about values. What kind of politics is this without honesty, without truth, without decency. Then it is pure cynicism.”
