On June 6, 2025, police broke down Samuel Croll’s door in Perth. He was napping. They pointed rifles at him, cuffed him, and took all his electronics. Samuel, 20, faces charges for a 20-second video on X. The police say he made a Roman salute and tried to stir up racial hate. He could get 19 years in prison—5 for the gesture, 14 for the hate charge.
Samuel’s no criminal. He posted a video from a livestream on GoyimTV. In it, he argued with a UK-based jewish influencer, @israel_advocacy, on Omegle. He wore a fake mustache made of tape, raised his arm, and yelled “White power.” The video got 78 views before police grabbed it. They also took a shirt, a Eureka flag, and the tape from his house.
He calls this lawfare against his comedy and free speech. And he’s right. Western Australia’s new “Nazi hate symbols” law, started in March 2025, bans gestures like this. The government says it keeps the state diverse and safe. But this law traps people like Samuel for edgy humor. He’s the first charged under it in WA. His case tests how far free speech can go.
