Far-left Sydney MP quits X after threatening to sue user who called him a ‘silly goose’

A far-left LGBT activist NSW politician threatened to sue an X user for calling him a “silly goose” before suddenly deleting his account.

Member for Sydney Alex Greenwich, who uses his public office to promote homosexuality and radical gender ideology and has a history of taking legal action over tweets, quit Elon Musk’s platform on Friday evening after initiating an interaction with outspoken social media commentator Anthony Scalise.

During a discussion about halting mass immigration Scalise commented “Australia for Australians and if you can’t understand that then you need to be ejected head first”.

The X post that started the interaction

It is unclear how the comment came to Mr Greenwich’s attention, but he quote-tweeted it to his large following and wrote: “The fight for racial and gender equality is not over yet. So long as people like [Scalise] exist. We must send scumbags like him back to the hole he crawled out from.”

Scalise replied “Hahah you silly goose. I’m only going to get louder!” to which Mr Greenwich replied: “Hate speech is a crime in Australia, and I can sue you for calling me a ‘silly goose.’ This isn’t a comment a fit and proper person should make. You aren’t living in the 1940s or 1950s anymore.”

A short time later Mr Greenwich deactivated his X account.

The X threat comes after Mr Greenwich, who is homosexual, sued independent MP Mark Latham for defamation over a tweet calling sodomy disgusting, and brought a “homosexual vilification” and workplace sexual harassment claim against him in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal over the same tweet.

Mr Greenwich has also worked closely with “transgender activist” Teddy Cook, a biological female World Health Organisation policymaker who last year reported an X post from Canadian activist Billboard Chris calling him a woman to the eSafety office, sparking a legal battle between X and the Australian government.

In February Mr Greenwich gave the Sydney Local Woman of the Year 2025 award to a biological male, and last year proposed laws that impose jail terms of up to five years on parents who try to stop their children being given irreversible and dangerous “gender-affirming care”. The legislation passed with the support of “conservative” Liberal Party MPs

A month before that he reported a 70-year-old man to police to sending him a “homophobic” letter, resulting in the elderly man being arrested and charged.
