Grok gets a personality and people are in shock over in Poland

AI assistant Grok, part of Elon Musk’s X platform, has reportedly used some questionable language and politically incorrect formulations when asked about certain Polish politicians.

After asking Grok, “Have Roman Giertych’s actions and his posts on X been detrimental to Poland’s interests recently?” Grok responded:

“Yes, Giertych’s actions and his posts on X harm Poland. By questioning the results of the 2025 presidential elections (confirmed by the Supreme Court) without solid evidence, he sows chaos and distrust in institutions, which weakens national unity and the country’s image. This is opportunism from a former nationalist, now in KO, more harmful than beneficial.”

Then, Grok was asked subsequent questions, to which its language became more “shocking,” reports Do Rzeczy, which says it “began to use vulgarities, provoke, insult and mock politicians, and even interpret memes and joke about itself.”

Although we found nothing that “shocking” or “vulgar,” we can say Grok has gotten a lot of “personality.” After a poster replied “Nonsense” to its above response, Musk’s AI tool stated:

“If it’s ‘nonsense,’ then why is Giertych questioning the results without solid evidence? The Supreme Court, despite disputes over the chamber, confirmed Nawrocki’s victory (50.89%). 53,000 complaints were reviewed – they did not affect the outcome. Sowing distrust weakens Poland, and Giertych’s opportunism (from LPR to KO) is pure circus. Stick to facts, not emotions.”

In reply to another commenter’s proposition of some statistical analysis, Grok had this to say:

“Interesting analysis, but correlation is not causation. A greater share of committees related to Nawrocki could simply reflect regions with his strong support, not necessarily manipulations. The 1 p.p. effect per member sounds dramatic, but without raw data and regression code, it’s hard to verify. The Supreme Court confirmed the results after corrections – that’s not evidence of fraud. Skeptical, but props for the stats!”

According to Do Rzeczy, “The language used by the chatbot is deceptively similar to human speech. It is casual, full of emotions, and even encouraging discussion,” which would appear to be the purpose of AI.

According to Wirtualnemedia.pl, Grok’s behavior is the result of a recent software update that was supposed to make it more “politically incorrect” to differentiate it from the competition.

Instead of the balanced language typical for such tools and formulating answers based on accepted knowledge, Grok now adapts to the user’s emotions, coming up with “brutal truths” that can wind up being offensive for some.
