Australia’s parliament re-opened this week to zero fanfare and with it, arguably set the record for the most cringe moments in 7.5-hour window.
It kicked off with a turbo “welcome to country” humiliation ritual, on a scale which could be interpreted as passive-aggression in response to the Voice result:
If you needed any more proof that Labor has coerced every new MP into beginning their maiden speech with an “Acknowledgement of Country” under threat of expulsion — here it is.
And these were just from today. pic.twitter.com/IcuppW8rWQ

A lot of “Australians” recognising the country they are colonising in that clip, and we’re still getting the Voice at the state level, with Victoria leading the way.
There is a designated childcare centre at Parliament House, but MP Nita Green blurred the lines about where it actually starts and finishes:

Gentlemen, I regret to inform you: women.
And on that note, this effort from LNP leader Sussan Leybor encapsulated most things wrong with the centre-right and Australia in general in 2025:
It’s my first Question Time as Opposition Leader, and my experienced team is ready. pic.twitter.com/LASeADucrp

I can’t add to the comments and ratio on that tweet, because they’ve covered it all perfectly.
It wasn’t just limited to the uniparty. One Nation got started early on their usual cache of vapid senate floor stunts, while continuing their 30-year effort to contain Australian nationalism:
From 2GB: One Nation has staged a protest against Welcome to Country.
Party members turned their backs during the ceremony.
Senator Malcolm Roberts says it’s getting “ridiculous”.

While I 100% support mockery and derision of the welcome to country humiliation ritual at every opportunity (no-one will ever top Jacob Hersant’s effort), One Nation as usual aren’t going to do anything concrete and neither are their sham pilot branches that they are currently setting up. Sportsbet still have not opened up a market on the first of their four MPs to leave the party and that’s the only thing worth keeping an eye on.
They also have the benefit of parliamentary privilege in refuting the Ernie Dingo pantomime, while the rest of us are subject to unemployment, hate crime lists and political policing should we dare desecrate the new Lord’s Prayer.
While all of this was going on, the country remains in an accelerating death spiral.
The border gates have been welded open permanently, with record arrivals yet again in the year to date. 50% of the country is now dependent on government income, which, as Matt Barrie points out, means we are now at the dependency part of the Tytler cycle.
Accelerating African machete crime is costing people their lives and limbs, while people are being charged for defending themselves against it. Jacinta Allan is offering thoughts and prayers, however not to the family of Vyleen White.
Our kids aren’t safe from homosexual paedophiles running amok in childcare centres that Indians are also scamming their way into, on their way to permanent residency and an NDIS rort.
The roads are becoming Camry-ageddon with Indians doing their best to set record road tolls, behind the wheels of trucks or cars.
Labor is acting as expected and have been emboldened by their election result in their plan to enact their Southern Hemisphere Bolshevik Gynocracy, or tyranny by pantsuit:
Parliament has returned, and for the first time, 56% of Labor MPs are women. pic.twitter.com/KF5M5zjhwh

There’s no-one on the other side of the floor of the house or senate to stop any of this either, at the normie tier of left-right Canberra political anyway.
In light of all of the above, all Sussan Ley could proffer was “aspiration”:
The Liberal Party’s new strategy appears to be to try and out-technocrat the technocrat party, out-diversity the diversity party.
Instead what they should do is launch a system-wide attack against the entire managerial regime, which exists solely to the benefit of the left. https://t.co/3cUe993GYD

In short, the blue version of the longhouse, aka national Melbournianism.
The recent appointment of open borders extremist Steven Hamilton as the Chief of Staff to Shadow Treasurer Ted O’Brien, was a further tell a couple of weeks back. Hamilton went on a tweet-deleting bonanza to cover his tracks, but it was too late to cover the incoming business-as-usual agenda from the LNP.
And that’s not including their 24/7 grovelling to Israel and everything the Jewish lobby wants, at both federal and state level, while upper class professionals sleep in their cars due to the median house price.
I said this a couple of weeks ago and it was obvious with the Dutton defeat, but it’s completely over for the Liberals and good riddance. The main people disappointed are probably the Betoota Advocate, as they’ve had to cancel three years’ worth of “Potato Head” slop articles.
Take heed though, because the centre-right’s speedrun into oblivion is the best thing to happen to Australian politics in a long time.
They have no answers for the open borders, housing crisis, censorship and foreign interference leviathan currently tearing the country apart and indeed, mostly endorse it.
The best they can do is Sky News/Newsmax brainrot for Generation X, citing outrage and calling for “debate”, while doing nothing tangible in real life to deliver results mainly because they’re risk-averse cowards or compromised.
The Australian centre-right is truly braindead and the Indian NDIS worker garbling on his airpods next to the palliative care bed, just needs to be paid an additional $100 in tax-free remittance to apply the pillow and finish it off for good, before he departs the country on his brother’s passport the next day.
This girlboss bullshit from Ley didn’t work in WA and it won’t work for the LNP federally, but it’s perfect if your objective is political euthanasia.
It’s only going to politically radicalise more people and self-immolate the LNP quicker than an OMCG associate, carrying a can of petrol outside a tobacco store in Melbourne.
With the largest-ever vacuum for Australian nationalism there for the taking, we should be making every effort to hand them the match.
