A 26-year-old daycare worker has been arrested on multiple charges of child sexual abuse connected to the Mather Childcare Center, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the investigation began on July 28, 2025, after a mother reported concerns that her 6-year-old daughter may have been sexually abused while attending the childcare facility on 11154 Graeton Circle.
The daycare primarily serves members of the Turkish immigrant community, where many families and children have limited English proficiency.
The daycare now has a “Closed for Business” notice on the front door as of August 26, which is an order for a temporary license suspension.

On August 22, 2025, detectives with the Sheriff’s Child Abuse Bureau arrested 26-year-old Gokhan Bagci on four counts of PC 288(b)(1) – Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child Under 14 by Force or Fear.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Bagci is a Turkish national who had previously been removed from the U.S. by Customs and Border Protection in November 2023 and again in September 2024.
