Zemmour says Jewish organizations are primarily left-wing and promoted Arab-Muslim immigration into France, which he says was a ‘mistake’

French political leader, Éric Zemmour, himself a somewhat observant Jew, took direct aim at Jewish organizations in France, which he called primarily left-wing and partly responsible for the waves of Muslim migrants who are largely anti-Semitic and hostile towards Israel and Jews.

“For 30 years, I have been fighting against the Jewish institutions of France, which for the most part are left-wing and which have taken the side of Muslim immigration. They have guilt-tripped the French opposed to immigration by calling them Nazis. They have only opened their eyes since Oct. 7,” he wrote on X.

During an interview, he also stated that to Le Figaro that “for 30 years now, I’ve been fighting against the tendency of Jewish institutions in France, and I do mean Jewish institutions, the CRIF, the Jeunesses Juives (Jewish Youth) movement, etc., which are left-wing, which have left-wing leanings and which in the 1980s championed Arab-Muslim immigration.”

He added that many of these individuals have come to him in private after the Oct. 7 attacks and told him it was a mistake. It was a very serious mistake, which made the French feel guilty by telling them If you send the Muslims back, you’re going to do exactly what you did with the Jews in 1942, which was wrong and a scandal. So I said it, I said it at the time and today most of us, most of these people in private, come to tell me that I was right.”

Zemmour promotes Christians, Jews and Muslims uniting

Posting a clip from his interview on X, Zemmour stated: “Neither Nazism nor Communism succeeded in destroying Christianity. If all those who want France to remain Catholic fight side by side, we can save France by stopping the Islamization of France and Europe.”

France will soon face “a new, long-term divide between those who want France to remain France and a new version of the ‘party of foreigners,’ the Islamo-leftists led by Jean-Luc Mélenchon,” according to Éric Zemmour, the president of France’s right-wing Reconquête party.

Discussing his latest essay, “La messe n’est pas dite” (“It’s not over yet”), Zemmour told Le Figaro TV that a Judeo-Christian resurgence is needed in the face of “the Islamic invasion which is subverting Christian identity.”

He also invited, not just Jews and Christians to join together for this battle, but those Muslims who seek to “break free from the Islamic empire.”

“One cannot be French without being imbued with Christian identity,” he told viewers. While not denying he is in no way a “true believer” in Catholic doctrine, Zemmour nevertheless bemoans the direction the Church has taken since the Second Vatican Council, going so far as to blame this trend of “Protestantization of Catholicism,” placing reason over emotion for the “de-Christianization of France.”
