A suspect is on the run after stabbing a 14-year-old girl in her thigh in downtown Rosenheim in Bavaria, according to police.
The man, approximately 30 years old and speaking German with an Eastern European accent, possibly Russian, asked the young girl for money and cigarettes in the downtown area early yesterday evening. She refused him and began to walk away, only for the man to pursue her from behind.
The man quickly caught up with her, pushed her to the ground, and held his knee to her throat.
He reportedly screamed, “You’re coming with me!”
The teen began resisting him, at which point he plunged a 10-centimeter kitchen knife into the girl’s thigh. He then fled the scene, according to a report from PNP.de.
When police arrived, the knife was still embedded in her thigh. She was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are currently hunting for the suspect on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm. He is described as having thin, shoulder-length black hair, a pink T-shirt, a black leather jacket, and sweatpants.
The young woman said his breath smelled strongly of alcohol.
