Headline: Deported neo-Nazi protester lands in South Africa after Australian visa cancelled
Summary: We’ve covered the story of Matthew Gruter extensively, but for those unfamiliar, the South African national and new father had his visa cancelled for attending a peaceful police-approved protest against the Jewish lobby.
When he, his wife and their newborn arrived in Johannesburg this morning, about 15 photographers and reporters were waiting to film them, photograph them, and stick a microphone in their faces in unprecedented scenes.
And it really is unprecedented.
No deportee has ever been treated like this, no matter how horrendous their crimes, and the vast majority never get reported on at all, let alone harassed at the airport along with their family.
Black South African serial rapist Robin Gerald Dyers, for example, was deported in 2021 after nine years in jail for three horrific sex attacks, but no one was waiting for him on arrival, and no media outlets thought his family deserved harassment.
Dyers violently raped a 22-year-old woman jogging through a Perth university, and a 16-year-old girl near a high school. He then attacked another woman in a casino carpark, and showed no remorse when caught.
Yet he was treated far better by the media than the Gruters.
This was disgraceful behaviour from the aforementioned media outlets, and especially from the Daily Mail which also sent a photographer to take photographs of Ms Gruter while she walked down the street with her baby with her husband locked in Villawood Detention Centre despite having committed no crime.
It was malicious journalism on a whole new level, and as usual it only went one way – there have been no paparazzi pics of the wives of pro-Palestine protesters, violent left-wing activists, or of mainstream party politicians.
But apparently in the eyes of Australia’s media jackals when your husband is a member of the National Socialist Network you become fair game for attempted public shaming and harassment.
These stories are probably also in violation of Australian new and untested privacy laws, which require a story to be newsworthy and in the public interest. Is it in the public interest to see the distraught wife of a political dissident walking with her baby? Of course not, but they knew the Gruters were being deported and weren’t in a position to mount a legal challenge.
Not even the vicious far-left activist journalists at The Sydney Morning Herald, the ABC and The Guardian stooped that low. They were happy to dox Matthew, of course, and get him fired and deported, but drew the line at sticking a camera in his distraught wife’s face.
But the real question about the airport ambush is, how did they know?
The Gruters didn’t tell anyone what flight they were on, and its not public knowledge, which means the information was illegally leaked to the media, either by someone at Villawood, someone in the police or intelligence agencies, or by Tony Burke’s office.
We will probably never know, unless one of the journalists develops a guilty conscience and reveals that info, and they should feel guilty because they’ve committed a dishonourable act and been used and manipulated by the authorities, who are doing their best to crush Australia’s growing nationalist movement by any means possible.
We’re not letting the journalists off the hook here, their behaviour was unforgiveable, but the real architects of the ongoing persecution of Matthew Gruter are the government and police, and the journalists are their useful idiots.
Matthew was very clearly made an example of, and treated far worse than criminals guilty of heinous crimes, and the same thing is now being done to Joel Davis, who had been forced to miss the birth of his child on a charge unlikely to result in a custodial sentence.
We hope any corporate or state media journalist reading this has a moment of self-reflection and asks themselves if this is really what they signed up for. Is this really where you saw yourself, trying to ruin lives because of political opinions? Being a tool of law enforcement, state security and the government?
And if anything does happen to Matthew and his family in because you’ve splashed their faces everywhere, their blood will be on your hands.
