Australian nationalist Thomas Sewell has unleashed at the media after facing court over an alleged clash with far-left Antifa extremists in Melbourne earlier this year.
Mr Sewell, 32, the leader of political organisation White Australia, appeared at Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday along with several other members of his group’s activist wing, the National Socialist Network, including prominent activists Nathan Bull, Michael Nelson and Timothy Lutze.
The men are all facing charged over an alleged incident at illegal aboriginal squatter encampment “Camp Sovereignty” that left-wing activists were using as a base to attack attendees leaving the March for Australia rally on August 31.
Mr Sewell, who is facing more than 20 charges, was remanded in custody for 72 days after being arrested and refused bail by Magistrate Donna Bakos in September, before being granted bail in the Supreme Court on strict conditions last month.
Ms Bakos on Tuesday allowed bail variations for several of the accused, including Mr Nelson, and the matter will be heard again in February.
White Australia leader Thomas Sewell speaks to the media outside court today – asks why the same magistrate who refused him bail for 72 days didn’t jail a “transgender” far-left extremist who set off a bomb at a Melbourne expo.

Outside court Mr Sewell said he was unable to comment on his own charges, but brought up a recent case where “transgender” far-left extremist Malith Shamera Fernando was spared jail by the same magistrate despite setting off a bomb inside a Melbourne exhibition centre.
“Antifa is a registered terrorist organisation with the US government’s State Department, these are the same people that attacked patriots and nationalists at the March for Australia and continued to attack us and other people who were walking home from the rally,” he said.
“So I think that it’s very clear that there is a bias, or at least it is far too lenient sentencing for actual terrorists. We’ve been attacked by the media, and by the police for five or six years now, being accused of being extremists and terrorists when we’ve committed no such offences and advocated for no such behaviour.
“And when an actual terrorist, that had 27 or 28 explosive devices in their home … and they planned and committed a terrorist bombing of the Land Forces Expo, for the purpose of literally terrorising people from attending these events, this person received no jail time and the police, Victoria Police and the Federal Police are complicit in allowing Antifa terrorists to not go to jail because they weren’t even charged with terror offences.
“It’s an absolute disgrace that in this country actual terrorists can perform bombings, in Melbourne, and get away with it with no jail time, and this very same magistrate had me remanded for 72 days for [allegedly] fighting against these very terrorists.”
Mr Sewell went on accuse the media of “being complicit in lying to the Australian people” by not reporting on the far-left extremist attacks on patriots before the alleged clash.
“There was an aboriginal man that was at ‘Camp Sovereignty’ that said that communists came up to that hill and used it as a staging point to carry out attacks on Australians, and that they brought violence to that area,” he said.
He was then asked about recent media reports about his group homeschooling their children, and replied that every Australian had the right to do so.
“I will be homeschooling my children, I’m not sure why all you people have such an issue with myself and my colleagues teaching our own children our values,” he said.
“The government should stay out of people’s homes, they should stay out of people’s family life, and they should not be forcing their corrupt and disgusting values on Australians.
“At primary schools right now they are teaching ‘transgender’ ideology … and aboriginal guilt complexes to White children, and I think that’s absolutely disgusting, I think Australians should be proud of their nation, they should be proud of their heritage, and they shouldn’t have homosexuality and transgenderism rammed down their throat.”
“And I think the average Australian is fed up with it, and that’s why they’re supporting us, despite the illusion that the government and the media are making out.”
Mr Sewell then told reporters that White Australia had about 3,400 supporters, and at least 1,500 confirmed as members for party registration with the Australian Electoral Commission.
