Saint Petersburg State University of Economics (UNECON), a prominent Russian public university, has allegedly been compromised, leading to the exposure of its internal student rating database. The breach was brought to light by a threat actor who claims to have obtained a full export of the university’s rating system (rating.unecon.ru). The actor states that the database is a “scraped export” rather than a direct SQL injection, but it contains a substantial volume of personal academic information.
According to the actor, the dataset contains over 80,000 records. The allegedly compromised data includes:
-
Full names
-
Study groups
-
