In the French city of Melun, a 22-year-old Algerian man who has an open deportation order was arrested for the rape of a 15-year-old girl.
The man, named Hakim Daoudi, is accused of grabbing the teenager, forcibly kissing her, and then raping her on Jan. 11 at 10:15 p.m., according to French news outlet Valeurs Actuelles.
The teenager had been walking home when Daoudi allegedly began harassing her on a bus and then later at the bus stop. When the young woman approached Beauregard Square, the Algerian reportedly grabbed her and attempted to kiss her with force. He then dragged her down and raped her, according to police sources.
Once he fled the scene, he continued messaging the girl on Snapchat until he was traced back to a city gymnasium housing migrants. Police arrested him there and ran an identity check.
The 22-year-old Daoudi is homeless and already had two entries in the Criminal Records Database (TAJ), according to police sources.
He has already been issued with a deportation order (OQTF) and had open warrants for his arrest at the time of the rape. Police continue to investigate.

In the past, cases involving Algerians raping minors have made headlines across France, including the famed case of the 12-year-old Parisian girl Lola. The young girl was tortured, raped, and murdered, and then had her body stuffed into a briefcase by an Algerian migrant who had an open deportation order.
Notably, Algerians with a deportation order were only deported in 0.2 percent of cases, according to data examined by Remix News at the time of Lola’s murder.
