The Anubis ransomware group claims to have breached AkzoNobel, a leading global paints and coatings company headquartered in the Netherlands. The threat actor allegedly compromised one of the company’s branches, exposing sensitive corporate documents and information belonging to major clients, including BMW and Jaguar. According to the attackers’ statement, AkzoNobel management declined to pay the ransom to secure the deletion of the stolen files.
