Baton Rouge police arrested a 22-year-old man Friday in connection with the rape of a 94-year-old woman on East Black Oak Drive, near the Park Forest and Sherwood Forest neighborhoods.
Jeremiah Taylor was taken into custody after detectives released photos through Crime Stoppers on Friday morning and received tips from the public identifying his location. Taylor is being held in the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail with no bond.

Morse said the evidence in the case is overwhelming. The attack occurred in broad daylight, according to investigators.
The WAFB I-TEAM found Taylor has prior arrests for rape, burglary, and unauthorized entry, all within the past two years. His most recent arrest was dismissed by District Attorney Hillar Moore’s office, allowing Taylor to be released. Taylor had been released from jail in January.

Neighbors said the victim was known on the street and was frequently outside tending to her yard.
