Detectives are appealing for public assistance finding a man who allegedly groped a woman inside a Sydney nightclub.
NSW Police said on Tuesday the alleged incident took place during New Year’s Eve celebrations at a nightclub on Oxford Street, Darlinghurst, in the early hours of January 1.
Officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command were told that about 1.30am a woman was sexually touched by a stranger inside the venue, who then left the scene.
Police are looking for a man who allegedly sexually touched a woman inside a Sydney nightclub.
They have released CCTV footage of a man of “Indian/Subcontinental appearance” who may be able to assist with inquiries.

Investigators have now released CCTV footage and images of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
“The man is described as being of Indian/Sub Continental appearance, about 170cm to 180cm tall, with a medium build, short black hair and black facial hair,” police said.
“He is depicted wearing a navy polo shirt, black pants, and red sneakers.
“The man was last seen on the corner of Oxford Street and Wentworth Avenue around 2am.”
