A user on a cybercrime forum is currently advertising access to the department’s data for $50.

The allegedly compromised data includes:

  • Teacher full names and National Identity Card (NIC) numbers

  • Teacher dates of birth, religion, and ethnicity details

  • Personal contact information, including mobile numbers and addresses

  • Professional records, such as appointment dates, current grades, and school assignments

  • School directory information, including addresses and contact numbers
