The Anubis ransomware group claims to have breached Signature Healthcare, a multi-specialty hospital and healthcare provider based in Southeastern Massachusetts. According to a post on their leak site, the threat actors successfully infiltrated the network but deliberately chose not to encrypt the organization’s critical systems, stating the attack was executed “without putting patients at risk.” The ransomware group has issued a strict one-week deadline for the hospital to negotiate a deal in order to prevent the data from being leaked and to preserve patient trust.
