An Australian tourist has been left shocked by the state of an old Catholic church in Vienna, sharing a video showing it covered in graffiti and surrounded by Muslims.
Jake Julius, a travel blogger and the founder of Rattlesnake TV, visited the St Anthony of Padua Church, located in a crime-ridden and immigrant-dominated district of the Austrian capital, and shared the clip on Tuesday with the caption: “I’m in Vienna… If you’re a Christian, brace yourself.”
Mr Julius said he felt in danger while outside the building due to the presence of large numbers of Muslim males.

“I’ve got to do this quick because it’s not very safe for me,” he said.
“What you’ve got behind me this way, as you can see, is swarms and swarms of military-aged Muslim men. You go around here and it’s the exact same story, absolutely everywhere.
“And the whole entire thing, watch this, has been desecrated the whole way around, back to front. The whole entire way around.”
Mr Julius then stopped the video, saying he was getting threatening looks and had to leave.
The church, which opened in 1901 and was restored after being bombed twice in 1944, was also defaced last year by Muslim slogans including “Islam will prevail, with or without you”, and “Deen over Dunya”, Heute reported.
And four years before that the church was stormed by about 50 Muslims youths shouting “Allahu Akbar”, sparking outrage and a federal investigation.
The church is located in Vienna’s most dangerous district, Favoriten, which has a reputation for stabbings and immigrant crime.
Muslims were poised to overtake Catholics as the largest religious group in the district in 2021, and last year 62% of elementary school students in Favoriten were Islamic.
