A man has suffered a horrific arm wound after being slashed during an attack by two machete-wielding Middle Eastern teenagers in Melbourne.
The 27-year-old from Ferntree Gully was targeted outside Tacos ‘N’ Tequilas Mexican restaurant in Belgrave at about 7.10pm on Wednesday evening, 3AW reported.
CCTV footage shows the two teenagers repeatedly swinging their machetes at the victim while a brave woman tries to protect him.
The two attackers fled in a white BMW sedan and are yet to be found, and the victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Victoria Police said.

Restaurant worker Sabrina, who came to the aid of the victim after the attack, told 3AW’s Jacqui Felgate she was looking out the window and saw the two teenagers walk past the couple before suddenly turning around and becoming aggressive.
“One of the young men pulled out a machete and slashed the male on his arm. I initially thought it was a stick he hit him with, I went out to ask if he was okay and I saw that he had a massive gouge on his forearm,” she said.
“The male himself didn’t know that he had an injury until I pointed it out.”
Sabrina then called an ambulance, and said police drove her home because she felt unsafe.
The attack in the latest in a long line of machete attacks, mainly involving African, Middle Eastern and other ethnic gangs and teenage criminals, that have taken place in Melbourne in recent weeks despite Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan’s controversial machete ban and amnesty bins.
