A woman has allegedly been sexually assaulted on a Melbourne train, and police are appealing for public assistance tracking down her alleged attacker.
Victoria Police said on Wednesday the alleged offender boarded an inbound train from Sunshine Railway Station at about 1.30pm on Monday August 25.
The woman, 24, was already on board and seated near the rear of the carriage when the alleged offender sat directly behind her.
He then allegedly sexually assaulted her before getting off the train at Tottenham.
