Hunt for man who allegedly stalked woman, 18, on Sydney train and committed ‘lewd act’

Police are looking for a man who allegedly stalked a woman on a Sydney train after committing a “lewd act” on board.

NSW Police said on Monday the alleged incident took place on a train travelling between Parramatta and Blacktown at about 9pm on December 18.

Officers from Police Transport Command North West were called and were told that a man committed a lewd act and then allegedly followed an 18-year-old woman for a short distance before she was able to leave the area.

Police have no released an image and description of a man they believe can assist with inquiries.

“He is described as being of African appearance, between 25 and 35 years old, with short black hair, a goatee-style beard,” police said in a statement.

“He was last seen wearing a red jumper, long beige pants, and white, black, and blue Nike Air Jordan shoes.”
