An incredibly disturbing targeted assault has shaken the Porta Romana district of Milan involving 30-year-old Polish model Anna Aksamit. She had moved to the Lombardy capital just a few months ago, but just days ago she was stalked, cornered, and physically attacked by a gang of youths in broad daylight. A devastating gang rape was only prevented because a passing young man bravely intervened to rescue her.
The incident took place last Friday at approximately 2:00 p.m. while Aksamit was walking down Via Livenza. She recalled the exact moment the group noticed her:
Poland is much safer than the US, says Polish-American supermodel Joanna Krupa.
She directly refers to the murder of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, who was killed by a career criminal with 14 convictions.

âI was going grocery shopping at the supermarket right next to my house. I had just left. At one point I noticed this group of boys, there must have been six, seven or maybe eight. They were drinking beer. I immediately had a bad feeling, so I changed my path to avoid crossing paths with them. But there was no point in moving. By now they had pointed at me,â she told Il Corriere newspaper.
In an effort to escape, Aksamit quickly changed direction, but the group pursued her. They quickly closed the distance and initiated a physical assault. According to the victim, their ultimate objective was clear: they intended to gang rape her.
âThey chased me, caught up with me and started touching me,â she said.
As she fought back, her screams alerted a nearby young man, believed to be an Italian national, who ran to help her. Following a brief physical struggle with the rescuer, the pack finally backed off and fled the area.
âWithout his intervention I donât know what would have happened to me. Iâd like to meet him or at least know his name. I owe him a lot and I would like to thank him for what he has done. It was an extraordinary gesture, like a true hero,â said the woman in a subsequent interview.
Aksamit is currently working with lawyer Domenico Musicco and plans to file an official police report. Because the attack happened so quickly, her memory of the perpetratorsâ faces is blurred, though she remembers them all being thin and carrying beer bottles.
The severe physical toll of the beating is still highly visible. âI still have the marks on my face. The right eye is very swollen and bruised,â she said.
As she tries to cope with the profound psychological trauma of the event, Aksamit expressed a deep desire to find and thank the stranger who saved her life, though she currently has no information about his identity, and does not even have his name.
âI spent the whole night crying,â she said, describing her ongoing distress. âI canât stop. I was so scared and, if I look in the mirror, I see my eye continue to swell from the beatings. Those were terrible moments. An episode I will hardly be able to forget.â
Her lawyer, Domenico Musicco, said he and his client would go to the hospital and file a complaint with the police.
