A gang of youths have reportedly beaten 17-year-old French youth Louis to death in the French city of Narbonne.
So far, two videos have been released which show the final moments where Louis was still conscious.
The attackers filmed the brutal beating, which took place on the night from June 19 to June 20 at a construction site, according to French news outlet L’Indépendant. The video shows them repeatedly stomping on the head of Louis with full force. In a second clip, one of the youths lays next to Louis, while he is unconscious and struggling for breath, and the suspect smiles for the camera in a mocking fashion. The youth appear to have a darker skin tone in the video and numerous social media account have reported they are “North Africans,” but so far no information has been released about their origin or background. Often, this information is never released by French authorities.
The video audio also shows the youths screaming curses at Louis and mocking him as they beat him to death.
Louis was found unconscious with severe facial and head injuries, along with bruises across his body. He was placed in an induced coma and died three days later.
Investigators are still trying to determine what the motive was behind the attack but initial reports expect it was a targeted ambush attack based on revenge.
Louis lived in a foster home where he was placed by Child Protective Services.
Five youth suspects have been arrested and charged with attempted murder, although that charge will likely be upgraded due to the death of Louis. Three of the suspects are minors, which means they receive little to no punishment for their actions if convicted.
A number of journalists, politicians, and commentators have already decried the brutal beating by the youths.
“Louis, 17, beaten to death by a bunch of thugs who ambushed him. Europeans, wake up. War has already begun and we’re counting our dead. Remigration is the kind solution. Those sons of bitches need to go home,” wrote French right-wing activist Thaïs d’Escufon.

In another post, she writes: “One of Louis’s immigrant killers takes a selfie next to his dying body. They kill us and laugh about it. Don’t ever let yourself be fooled by their victim rhetoric again. They know exactly what they’re doing. They hate us. Well, I hate them too.”
D’Escufon was convicted this month for saying Black and Arab immigrant men are the main threat to women.
