‘Controversial coach’ opens up on his viral ‘make deportation great again’ message

A father-of-two who has amassed a huge social media following with his no-nonsense posts about immigrant crime says he’s speaking out to try to stop Australia’s national identity from being eroded.

Chris Katelaris, also known as Big Chocky or “Australia’s Controversial Coach”, told Noticer News his Instagram account has exploded in recent weeks, showing there was a “growing appetite for unfiltered voices”, and that while his message was controversial it was “resonating deeply”.

His short videos have been viewed millions of times, include messages such as “make deportations great again”, “if they’re import, deport”, and “import the third world, become the third world”, and always end with the catch phrase “that’s my take from the Controversial Coach, and if you don’t like it, fuck off, Chocky out”.

The 29-year-old bodybuilder, who moved to northern NSW from Sydney last year and runs an online coaching and mentoring business called MAC Coaching, said his message was simple: “Keep Australia, Australia.”

“I’ve been down the wrong path. I’ve seen how the system used to work — and how soft it’s become,” he said.

“We’ve got governments chasing votes instead of protecting citizens. Weak bail laws, youth chaos, police with no power, and parents with no rights. And if you speak up — you’re the problem.

“I’m pro-deportation for those who disrespect this country — but I’m far from racist. I was born in Colombia, adopted into a Greek-Cypriot family. My grandfather earned his place here through hard work and respect — and that should be the standard.

“I’m not anti-immigration. I’m anti-entitlement. If you don’t respect Australia — you don’t deserve to stay.”

Mr Katelaris does not shy away from hitting back at critics who call him “racist” for saying immigrant criminals and their families should be sent back to their home countries.

“Apparently I’m racist. I talk about crime in Australia – racist. I talk about deportation in Australia – racist. I talk about protecting our children – apparently that’s racist,” he said in a recent video.

“But here’s the truth, you can call me whatever the fuck you want. It’s better that I speak my mind than stay quiet and soft in a world that’s already going soft.

“I don’t want my children growing up in a world knowing that their dad bowed down because he got coined a term which was incorrect.”

Mr Katelaris recently launched coaching for fathers called The Protector Project, which he created to help other dads “step up, be better protectors, and surround themselves with a strong brotherhood”.
