A group of ISIS bride traitors were delivered free pizza and put up in a hotel after landing in Sydney and being given “VIP treatment”, sparking anger from police and members of the public.
Four wives of Islamic State terrorists and their six children arrived on Tuesday evening where they were given priority getting off the plane – delaying other passengers – and the NSW Government deployed the Riot Squad to protect them from the media despite no threat concerns.
Pizzas were then delivered to the hotel in Mascot where they were taken by government car after a three-hour health assessment by the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), The Saturday Telegraph reported.
The way the brides were treated has angered police, who said they “got fed and we didn’t”, and a federal government source described the “VIP treatment” they were given as “ridiculous”.
“It sets a precedent that you can willingly travel to a declared terrorist zone run by Islamic State and come back with a red carpet rolled out for you from a side exit,” the source said.
But the DCJ has refused to answer questions the “welcome mat” being rolled out for the ISIS brides, and claimed they were treated like any other Australian citizen.
“Any access to government services is assessed in line with the same eligibility requirements that apply to other Australian citizens,” a DCJ spokeswoman said.
“NSW has well-established arrangements in place to manage any returnees, with community safety as the overriding priority. These arrangements were successfully implemented in previous repatriations under former governments.”
Revive Australia founder Brian Marlow, who is running a campaign to deport the terrorist-linked women, said it was a “complete betrayal” for the ISIS brides to be fed by the taxpayer while everyday Aussies struggled with the cost of living.
“Even if people weren’t struggling in record numbers, the idea that taxpayers would foot the bill for these people is atrocious,” Mr Marlow said.
“There are people who are struggling to keep up with their rent and their mortgages, they’re still paying tax to the government and even though it’s a drop in the ocean, it’s representative of a government that completely betrays the values of Australian citizens to offer free food to these traitors.”
The group are now in temporary housing under police monitoring, 10 News reported.
The revelations come after legendary Australian bodybuilder Lee Priest revealed he was on the same flight as the Sydney arrivals, and was held up getting off the plane while they ISIS-linked passengers got special treatment.
He also questioned the federal government’s claims that they had not helped the brides enter Australia, pointing out that they and their children were provided with passports.
One ISIS bride and one child remain in the Al-Roj refugee camp in northeastern Syria after being given a Temporary Exclusion Order, but Labor has not explained why orders were not made for the other women, including three who were charged with terror and crimes against humanity offences after arrival.
