Based in Thailand with over 25 years of experience, BioNet is known for advancing proprietary recombinant pertussis vaccines and addressing critical immunization needs across Southeast Asia. The threat actor group, which has rapidly expanded its operations in 2025, reportedly utilized sophisticated evasion techniques—including disabling security software and manipulating Group Policy Objects—to infiltrate the company’s network and exfiltrate sensitive information before deploying its encryption payload.
