A suspect was arrested Monday after setting off fireworks and igniting a fire outside a federal building that houses an immigration court in New York City, per multiple outlets.

The complex — located at 26 Federal Plaza — houses the Jacob K. Javits Federal Building and James L. Watson U.S. Court of International Trade, as well as the New York field office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Driving the news: The suspect reportedly has a history of anti-ICE activism and mental health issues, according to local reporting.
The explosion closed down roads, caused transit disruptions and drew a large emergency response.
Two “minor injuries” have been reported so far, according to FBI Director Kash Patel.
Zoom in: The suspect was wheeling around a cart loaded with airsoft rifles, additional fireworks and other items, according to other media reports.
