An Indian man has been charged with allegedly possessing child abuse and bestiality material in Albury in southern New South Wales.
The 33-year-old was arrested at a home in Lavington at 6.20am on Friday and an electronic device was seized for examination, NSW Police said.
The man was charged with possess child abuse material, possess bestiality material, and use carriage etc to access child abuse material, and refused bail to appear in Albury Local Court on the same day.
Police said a local investigation began on May 12 after officers attached to Murray River Police District received information from the State Crime Command’s Child Internet Exploitation Unit (CIEU).
