Aussie mum calls for justice after baby burned with hot coffee by Chinese man in antiwhite attack

Aussie mum calls for justice after baby burned with hot coffee by Chinese man in antiwhite attack

The mother of a baby who was scalded with hot coffee by a Chinese man who then fled Australia has made a fresh call for justice almost one year on from the horrific suspected antiwhite attack.

Baby Luka was just nine months old when he was scalded by the 33-year-old immigrant, who police have refused to name, at Hanlon Park in Stone’s Corner in Brisbane on August 27 last year, leaving him with severe burns to his face, head and body and requiring skin grafts.

His attacker then managed to avoid detection and flee the country via Sydney, and Queensland Police were heavily criticised for failing to specify his ethnicity or appeal to Asian communities for help. They later claimed the did not release an accurate description to avoid “generating biased leads”.

Chinese media has since reported that the suspect, who had been working in three states on a mix of working holiday and student visas, wanted “revenge on White people” after being denied another Australian visa.

In a social media post on Tuesday Luka’s mother called on Australian authorities to bring the attacker to justice, saying “one of the hardest things to live with [is] knowing that the person who hurt our child walks free”.

“Almost one year has passed, and while our family continues to live with the trauma of that day, the person responsible has not been held accountable,” she wrote.

“Our legal systems and international relationships should protect victims and children, yet they have failed to do so. To those in positions of power: please don’t make it another year. Do not let this man escape accountability for hurting a child!

“The fact that someone can deliberately hurt a child and face no consequences is beyond unacceptable.”

She said that Luka has been through eight surgeries, and undergone synthetic skin grafts, skin needling and laser treatment for scarring, which he still has on his chin, shoulder and back.

Her plea comes former Australian Federal Police officer Dr David Craig, who was among those to criticise police for their politically correct descriptions during the manhunt, called on China to extradite the suspect even though there is no formal extradition treaty, or even prosecute him domestically.

“China can actually agree to extradite one of its citizens back to Australia. However, it has a mechanism where it can refuse to do so and that’s what it’s using,” he told Sunrise on Monday, and said China could avoid “diplomatic issues” by prosecuting him under Chinese law.

‘There are comparable laws, and China should be able to that. If I was a Chinese-Australian I would be embarrassed by this – that the Chinese government seems to think it’s acceptable for a person to throw hot water on a baby, flee the country, and not face any justice.”

Australian authorities have been working behind the scenes to secure justice for Luka, with Queensland Police providing a brief of evidence to their Chinese counterparts, but it has been made clear “they don’t extradite their own”, The Australian reported last week.

There have been no public calls for justice from Australian politicians, and when right-wing activist group the National Socialist Network protested outside the Chinese Consulate in Melbourne with a banner reading “yellow grubs, hand over the baby mutilator”, they were raided by terror police.
