Polish President Karol Nawrocki is trusted by 46.4 percent of people, making the conservative politician the most trusted in all of Poland, according to a new trust survey conducted by IBRiS for the Onet.pl portal.
Among those who trust Nawrocki, 28.9 percent “definitely trust” him and 17.5 percent “rather trust” him. This is 2.7 percentage points less than a month ago and almost as much as in the trust survey from March.
In addition, 42.8 percent of respondents have a negative opinion of the president – “I definitely don’t trust” at 33.8 percent and “I rather don’t trust” at 9 percent.
However, in a sign of the polarization in Poland, politicians from the left are the second and third most trusted.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski returns to second place in the poll, with 42.7 percent of respondents declaring trust in him. This is an increase of 5.3 percentage points compared to April. Meanwhile, 40.9 percent of respondents have a negative opinion of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Rounding out the podium is Prime Minister Donald Tusk, in whom 36.6 percent of people declare their trust, which is 2.6 percentage points less than in April.
More than half, 51.4%, of Poles do not trust the head of government.
Polling of trust in politicians
The leader of trust among politicians not in the ruling government is former Prime Minister and PiS vice-president Mateusz Morawiecki, who is trusted by 35.7 percent of people, which is 1.1 percentage points less than in April.
Fifth place is occupied by the Speaker of the Sejm, leader of the New Left, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, with a trust level of 35.2 percent, a drop of 0.1 percentage points.
The next place belongs to Krzysztof Bosak. The Confederation leader is trusted by 35 percent. This is an increase of 4.9 percentage points, and shows major growth in Bosak’s national profile.
“This means that Krzysztof Bosak is significantly improving his ratings compared to April and March and may be among the top in the future,” the website writes.
Next in line is Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, who is supported by 34.2 percent of Poles, an increase of 0.9 percentage points.
Jarosław Kaczyński, the leader of PiS, is trusted by 29.7 percent of people, a drop of 0.1 percentage points.
The next places are occupied by: Piotr Zgorzelski from PSL with 28.8 percent, an increase of 0.6 percentage points, and Krzysztof Gawkowski, who is trusted by 27.2 percent of Poles, an increase of 4.4 percentage points.
However, the second leader of the Confederation, Sławomir Mentzen, is losing out, as indicated by 25.5 percent of respondents, a drop of 2.1 percentage points. Razem leader Adrian Zandberg is trusted by 23.6 percent of people, an increase of 0.8 percentage points.
The survey by the Institute for Market and Social Research (IBRiS) for Onet was conducted on May 22-23, 2026, using standardized computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) on a research sample of 1,100 adult Poles.
