A large group of Canadian nationalists have held a protest over a highway to draw attention to road deaths caused by Indian truck drivers, who have also been at the centre of scams plaguing the industry.
About 40 activists from fast-growing nationalist men’s club Second Sons Canada held a black banner bearing two white crosses and saying “Indian trucks kill Canucks” on an overpass in Orillia, Ontario on Saturday.
The group spoke out about the demonstration on its X and Telegram channels, saying it was held to raise awareness about an “ongoing and growing problem on Canadian roadways”.

“Canadians are being killed and maimed in record numbers in transport truck collisions. This is not random, it is a direct result of a foreign diaspora population that has no regard for our standards or values,” Second Sons said.
“Fraudulent licensing schemes, sub par training programs, and shoddy business practices have resulted in completely preventable deaths at the hands of Indian invaders. The solution is simple: Remigration Now.”
Earlier this month Indian truck driver Rajwinder Singh was sentenced to just 55 days’ jail for careless driving causing the death a young Canadian woman in Bolton in 2024, and in October last year Navjeet Singh was granted bail after allegedly causing a crash that killed a mother and daughter near Winnipeg.
In April 2025 Gaganpreet Singh was also granted bail after being charged over a fatal crash allegedly caused when he slammed into a woman’s SUV in Calgary and fled the scene, and two months later two Indian international students were jailed over a hit and run crash that killed a local man in Surrey.
Quebec announced an inquiry into truck crashes late last year after a 35% increase in deaths involving heavy vehicles, just weeks after the province of Alberta launched a crackdown into driver training schools and trucking companies, shutting five schools and banning 13 companies from the roads.
Punjabi Sikh drivers manage a majority of trucking operations in cities like Toronto and Vancouver, and an investigation by CBC News found many are involved in a tax and labour regulation evasion scam dubbed “Driver Inc”, where drivers are hired as incorporated contractors instead of employees.
Trucking organisation OOIDA said the Driver Inc scheme was being used to lure foreign drivers to Canada on student visas, where they are then funnelled into schools that operate as “commercial driving licence mills”, Land Line Media reported.
“It’s affecting our safety on our roads,” OOIDA board member Johanne Couture said. “They’re being coerced – some of them – to the point that its labour trafficking.”
The trucking industries in the US, Australia and New Zealand are having similar problems with Indian truck drivers, with Punjabi illegal immigrants involved in a spate of horror crashes on American roads, Australian drivers complaining about plummeting safety standards, and NZ authorities cancelling hundreds of licences during a fraud audit.
The protest came after the Second Sons demonstrated at Niagara Falls in December wearing Santa hats and holding a banner saying “All I want for Christmas is remigration”.
Last year they also protested against the far-left bias of state media broadcaster CBC, and gathered in front of an iconic monument in the Niagara region to celebrate one of Canada’s most revered military leaders.
